My Music
Collection
With my father being a professional musician, I
have gown up with and exposed to all different kinds of music. From modern
music/groups like Wallflowers and Goo Goo Dolls to Bob Marley and Stevey Ray
Vaughn. Not to mention that over the years I developed an interest for classical
music. So much so that my classical and instrumental CD collection is out
growing my other collections.
I have decided to post some of my music collection for
people to listen to. Some of these I have actually wrote myself. Be aware of the
following before you download any of these files:
The MID format
can be played by almost
any computer with a sound card. The
draw back though is that the quality of the MIDI music is completely dependant
on your sound card. Playing the same music file on two different computer can
sound extremely different. This is because MID format is synthesized by your
sound card. The more you card can synthesize a note, the better the music will
sound. For this I suggest at least a 64 to 128bit sound card. But 16bit will suffice
if that's what you have.
The MOD format is very general.
There
are many sub formats like S3M, MTM, XM, XTL, and so many others. You will need
player software in order to play these files. Regardless of your sound card,
these music files will sound the same from computer to computer. In addition,
although the MOD file size is relatively small compared to MP3, these files
(especially the XM format) can be up to 1MB in size.

formats on this web page:
