I just want to say thanks with all my heart for putting so much time and effort into this site!!! Thank you for being so completely honest about life with CP! Thanks also so much for providing a place to "VENT"! :) I am doing a college research project right now on CP. I thought it would be easy since I've lived with it all my life but I was really starting to hate all the generic medical statements! This really Helps a Lot Thanks again! :)

I am the mother of a 5 1/2 year old daughter that has multiple disabilities including CP. I am also VP and Treasurer of a non-profit organization in KY and IN. Quest for Children Foundation, Inc. I just want to say that this site is very informative. I think there should be more sites like this so that all parents and people are aware of what is available for people with disabilities!

This is one of the best sites I've ever seen! Its always best to read something from someone's own experience, and this is a great site. I'm studying OT right now so I can work with CP kids, esp. near drowning. I'd like to hear from other people who have experience with this. [sic]... Please keep in touch. Your site is wonderful. God bless you.

Hello,  I was stopping by to tell you that the site is finally finished and now I can just add links to it. I was wondering if you knew of any other good "news" resources for disabilities. Or special pages for disabled personals.

Am I thankful for finding this site! I am in my mid twenties, and suffer from a relatively mild form of CP. It is, however, impairing enough to cause me significant physical and emotional discomfort in my life. I am currently seeking treatment for my particular form of CP. I have tried Baclofen in the past, but discontinued the drug for a variety of reasons. I am not opposed to further trials of different medications (and in fact I am currently addressing to my doctor my desire to start such trials as soon as possible).

I have encountered a general lack of willingness for most of the neurologists I have visited to really take a serious stab at treating my CP. I whole heartedly agree with the statement, found somewhere at this site, that much of the concentration on CP focuses on children. While I think early treatment is crucial, I wish more attention was focused on the treatment of adults with CP. Since I have a relatively mild case of CP, I absolutely refuse to accept the opinion many doctors have expressed to me--that there is "not much" they can do to address my specific type of CP. I want to, and believe I can, receive as much alleviate of my symptoms (primarily spasticity) as possible.

I also want to thank the person who addressed, on this site, the issue of aging and CP. I have never seen the problem of aging and CP addressed before. I have been thinking for a long time now that I most likely will be experiencing some worsening of my symptoms the older I get, and it is nice to see someone finally address this.

I am a mother of a 4 yo who has just been recently diagnosed with a mild form of CP, with spastic diaplagia of both legs. Right now I am just surfing the web to see what sites there are for parents of children with CP and places that can help us out. This site looks really nice.

I would like to commend you for your effort to put the cp connection site together. I work for a company called mobility research - they manufacture, market & educate PTs and parents about a gait therapy device called Litegait for adults and WalkAble for pediatric patients.
