In addition to a web ring you can join, we have an award we now give out to web sites that actively promote the awareness of disabilities. However, this award is earned and not given out. If your site does not meet ALL the criteria as deemed by  CPC, then your submission will be denied. The award will be given monthly to the top site submitted. In order for your site to be considered, it MUST:

Be dedicated to disabilities-A majority of your site must be dedicated to informing those about disabilities. The site does not have to be about Cerebral Palsy, but any disability(ies). If your site contains entire sections on non-disability related material or links to material that may be deemed inappropriate, your submission will be denied.

Actively promote awareness of disabilities - You must show an effort in promoting awareness of disabilities. This is done by comparing how much information you provide verses other disability related sites on the web. A few links and and there will not get you this award. However, a person with one page has just as much of a chance as a person with 10 pages of disability information.

Have good presentation and content - Your site must present information that is helpful to its readers and be easy to read. Background and colors used must be pleasing and not outrageous. I am providing this stipulation because those with visual impairments will have a difficult time seeing pages with wild colors and movements.

All links to other pages WITHIN the site must work- Now it is completely understandable that links come up broken on pages all the time. It is something that no webmaster can avoid, including CPC.  This means that if CPC should come across a page that is part of YOUR site and the link is invalid or broken, your request for the award will be denied.

Any links to material on other people's web site's will not cause your ineligibility for this award. However, to be considered, all page links that are part of your own site must work.

CPC is in no way trying to make this award impossible to receive. Every site, regardless if it is one page or ten pages has an equal chance in earning this award. These criteria are simply to ensure that CPC provides materials that are valuable to the neticizans researching the disability community and that the people providing this material want to help those with disabilities as well as inform those who are not disabled.

NOTE: You will only be contacted if you receive the award. Contact date will be the first of each month. If you do not receive the award for that month do not fret. All candidates for the award are eligible for the award for two months. After two months you must re-apply for the award.
